There is a storefront under construction accross from 100 Commercial St that looks pretty current. Also there is a building on Congress St near Maine Med (also under construction) that looks promising. (Seems to be a parking structure being converted into offices?)

Hey Everyone
Well, We are finally going to break ground this week! I think I said this about 6 months ago but its really going to happen this time.
Info on the house:
It's designed by Carol Wilson
3 stories tall with a roof deck. We look out at the Fore River and the multi $$$ bridge.
18'x 52' ( so that we still have some green space left)

If anyone lives in South Portland when you go across the bridge to Portland you will be able to watch the progress.

In about 6 weeks you should be able to see the steel going up.

Once I figure out how to post photo's I can put up a digital image and a picture of the model. Also weekly photo's of the progress if anyone is interested.

Cheers
Erik

Erik,

Hello, I am a Portland photographer. I am working on an architectural portfolio and I would love to shoot your house when it is finished. Could you contact me off-forum?

I'd arm wrestle you for it Bryan...as heavy as I'm getting, I lean into it and you're in trouble. Erik showed my wife and I around (we were on our way to Peaks Island for our aniversary) while it was still in construction about a year and a half ago, so it should be pretty much done? Carol Wilson's web page shows it close to being complete. It was very impressive and the view is spectacular!

I'm heading up that way for a couple of the Architalx lectures - anybody else going?
