Southern California Modern Desinger? Recommnedations?

I am looking for a very creative and up and coming designer in Southern California. I seem to be in the wastelnd of San Diego as far as finding a non-cookie-cutter approach to a modern downtown condo. All help is apprecited. Recommendations or places to look would be great.:wacko:

Although he's not exactly in San Diego - my architect is in the San Jose area and he is just incredible. I was impressed at every turn and I havent stopped talking about him.

If you're interested in flying up to San Jose for a day to meet him, I think good things would result from working with him.
