Stainless Steel Front Door/Gagage Doors

Posted by Kale at March 23. 2005

I am slowly 'modernizing' my 60s style tract home ranch in SoCal. No structural changes just cosmetic one.

I am now looking for sources for stainless steel front door and garage doors for a two car garage. Are there any that dont break the bank? Any alternatives to steel for these applications?

i just ordered some aluminum/glass garage doors from overhead door company. the finish will be anodized aluminum which has a stainless steel look. i paid about 5k for all three w/ motors and remotes... 9ftx10ft each. i attached a pic of the door, but in painted aluminum/full glass instead of anodized.

That sounds like a pretty good price for three doors and motors. Where did you purchase them from?

There's a Stainless steel door panels thread on the Modern Materials and Methods forum that might be of interest.
