Well, that depends on your needs and one of those is you need to consider is the size of your room. Also, you should consider choosing the one that lets you save on energy bills.
OK, I'll suggest this electric fireplace I found here to give you an idea. But you may look for others with similar to this. Basically, you can have this below $300, but it can warm a large room.
