caboom II

Anyone planning to go to caboom II? We went last year and it was interesting. However, it looks like all the vendors are the same as last year...

When you look at the admission price in relation to what you walk out of there with info-wise, I thought last year's CaBoom kinda sucked.

Other than seeing stuff you see in magazines in real life, I personally thought it was quite a letdown. I'm a little disappointed that it's mostly the same exhibitors.

My biggest laugh came with the folks trying to raise money for the Julius Schulman documentary. Schulman gets around quite a bit, and if you wanna meet him, it's not that hard. But $500 to meet him in the Stahl House?!? Give...me...a...break.

I personally LOVE the idea of CaBoom. On paper, it's great. I just wasn't a fan of the execution.

That said, as a newly-minted homeowner, I'll probably go, hoping that I can take some knowledge away IRT the remodeling we're doing before we move in.
