Prefab on a slope

I am looking at lots in the Malibu, Topanga and Calabasas area and have found some for under 300K but they all have slopes. Which manufactors of prefab/modular homes can be built on slopes? Does anyone know of any projects in Southern California? I would even consider building on stilts. There are a lot of houses build on stilts in the Santa Monica mountains that have survived numerous earthquakes and fires. Any input or advice would be helpful.
Thanks,

I've wondered this too as all the affordable lots here (under $1MM!) are steeply sloped. Marshall at MKD has said that they will build on stilts so there's that. Sounds like just about anything that can be built on a slab can be raised but don't take my word for it; I don't know much about this. I'm just trying to do the same thing the rest of us are: find a way to have a home of our own where we already live.
ops:
jeriko house lets you build on stilts. i have to tell you thought that building on stilts is the worst feng shui possible.

I've purchased a lot in Malibu (Aug. o6) and am in the process of collecting information to better educate myself on what is to be expected of the build process, L.A County, Coastal, City of Malibu included. All lots in the Malibu area come with challenges; do your homework and your payoff will be huge with less headaches - this may take some time but it has been worth it, as we've found great information and informed persons to help with my dream.
I realize I'm commenting on this thread two years after the previous posts but, my husband and I are currently doing research on purchasing land in the Malibu, Topanga, and Calabasas areas as well in order to build a prefab modern green home. If anyone has any feedback or similar experiences they can share I would greatly appreciate it. We are on a tighter budget than most people who live out in those parts but, what we really want is to have a larger piece of land and a smaller, but beautifully/cleverly designed simple house. Ideally, it would be designed for some sort of modular expansion as our means also expand. I'm mainly concerned about estimate costs vs. actual costs. Again, we are happy to start small and add on later; we just want a home on relatively undisturbed land. Thanks in advance!
