I'm in Culver City/Mar Vista area. I just finished an exterior paint job on my house. Part of the project entailed sledge hammering out some tile in front of my entry door. Underneath I found some cracked, sunken concrete leaving a big gap leading under the house. A helpful neighbor who is a general contractor said I need to get a concrete guy in to look at it but suggested I think about demo'ing the front stoop, the walkway up to the house, and perhaps even the cracked and buckled driveway.

Does anybody have a concrete contractor in my area they would like to recommend, preferably one with a modernist sense of aesthetic that might be able to help us envision something a little more interesting than the basic grey slab? While our house won't be appearing in any upcoming issues of Dwell, we are trying to add a little modernism to our modest neighborhood withour choices of materials and colors.
