Mid-century furniture

Posted by William M. De Leonardis at May 13. 2005

It’s great to see a forum for Knoxville (East Tennessee, etc.) modernists. I’ve been building a collection of mid-century modern furniture for the last few years—Eames, Bertoia, etc. Does anyone know of any good antique or other type stores in the area that tend to have these types of items? I tend not to have a huge amount of time to go and check out places so any help would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone has pieces from that era to sell, please get in touch.

AS you know it seems tough to find without importing
to our region! Have a lot of pieces myself. Without
Ebay and a few local retail Dealers we would be hard
pressed. I'm all ears if you know of sources local to
E. TN. There is Nashville, and maybe Atlanta of course.

Have you been to Nostalgia? There are a few dealers there who specialize in Mid Century things.
