outdoor pendant

Anyone have a good recommendation for an outdoor pendant? I can find next to nothing! The house has a Pacific Northwest modern style, with some Japanese influence and natural materials. I want to avoid the 90s post modern stuff, as well as the 'transitional' arts and crafts/mission stuff. We are stumped! We're thinking of these as outdoor sconces:

Don't know if this will help but you might try Hubbardton Forge ( have some japan-esque fixtures.

Thanks, we have considered some of their fixtures... they walk the line of being a little more on the transitional side than we want for this house, but some really good looking stuff.

How about something like this?  Is it along the line you were thinking?

I will throw Ikea into the mix; I went with the MCM look for our front porch. Ikea has a nice, glass globe light for about $3$40. The quality is good and it looks great, and was 1/3 the cost of the same light from online retailers. Because it is under the soffit I have had no problems with it being used outside. I liked the look and quality so much that last week I picked up another for interior use. Not sure what style you were looking for, but it is an idea.

Check out the story on Outdoor Lighting over at Pure Contemoporary. Caroline Barry has found some really great outdoor lights -- ranging from $100 - a whopping $12k!!
