Eames Table Color Dilemma

After 5 long weeks, my Eames Dining table finally arrived! Unfortunately, it was the light mahogany instead of the dark mahogany I ordered! Now, the retailer is willing to replace the table or give me a substantial credit towards other items in the store. Here's the dilemma: I'm not sure if the medium-light table clashes with the rest of my place. My couch is framed in dark wood, and my floors are light maple. The dark wood is a nice contrast. The table, however, adds a new color to the room. I haven't bought chairs yet, so I can try to bring everything together that way (especially with the store credit!). Although i feel I have decent design sensibilities, I am slightly lacking in my ability to execute these ideas (e.g. colors, etc.)
Thanks for your advice, suggestions, etc!
I happen to find natural mahogony to be really beautiful and I do not find mixing wood tones a problem. If you had ordered a walnut top and intended to get matching DCMs in walnut, then you would have a problem. Since there are not many mahogony chairs out there (natural or dark), I would go with a non-wood material.

These next ones are really expensive, but you can usually find them used at stores or at ebay.

I like mixing woods. to me woods are neutral and match just about anything. my furnishings contain walnut, maple, ash, old orangy birch, and some other dark wood that i can't even recognize .... however, some modernists do prefer everything to be noticeably intentional, but i prefer the 'aquired' look. depends on your personal taste.
i actually like medium tones alot. i have noticed the eames plywood chairs' woodtones are more extreme these days. the walnut is extremely dark and the ash is almost white! i think those medium tones can be easier to build around.
I agree. While many modernists (Mies and FLW) seemed to want people to live in sets of their design, others were the opposite. I always look at pictures of the Eames house for inspiration and to remind myself that a modern life can be cluttered and lived-in and comfortable.
That being said, here is another that I think would go with your table.

I'm with these guys. We usually resist going matchymatchy at home. I think things look better and more comfortable with a mix of nice materials.
Thanks for the advice/suggestions! I think I'll stick with the mahogany and take advantage of the generous credit the store is offering me. Maybe a walnut Eames LCW to further mix things up!
