Harbour Freight, the ultra cheepy tool place had some nice looking solar lights on sale for $8 each in their most recent flyer:

Just FYI...

These look a lit nicer than the ones they had in the store. They are completely different. I checked them out when I purchased a tool box about a week and a half ago, and they were really flimsy and low quality. But these look like they are quite a bit nicer.

I purchased a set on ebay for about 50 that is real stainless steel, solar, and they are pretty sturdy. Been working great for about nine months. They are a more traditional design though, not as sharp as these.

I like the solar lights, they go in fast, you can move them around, carry them like a torch, I dont need to turn on big overhead lights to see the path to the car/pond and obviously they dont cost much to run. I don't see any reason to put in regular wired units anymore.

Also, is that sale price something that takes effect next week? The link says they are about thirteen dollars. I think I might like to pick some of them up to add to the ones we already have.

Do these lights turn on automatically when it gets dark or is there a switch? :zz:

automatically. they are solar, and there is a PV sensor that turns them on.

The flyer said they were 8.99 and the sale continues until mid-October.
