Hey everybody-
I have the option to get 4 tan leather Stam Chairs for $150. Not in the best condition, though; the leather on three has a fair amount of water staining, and the fourth looks like something exploded on it- the seat is covered in a dark spray stain. No idea what did that. Otherwise they're in ok condition, given their apparent age. I was thinking about using them for my dining room, but I'm not sure if the seat is too low. Anyone have any experience with these?
Thanks for any input you can give...

Very similar...this is one of the actual chairs:
No stitching on the backrest, though.
Thoughts?
thanks!

I think the back stiching like that photo will be unusual as there are many repros of this design and I think they more typically just have the ends stitched as in your photo: But check the shape of the metal tubing and be sure they look reasonably authentic.
They are inexpensive, and if you like them - heck, at least you won't have to worry about staining them. If you want something that looks fresher then you should pass.

Thanks for the input, Greg. I decided to go for it and get them. They might be too low, and they are a little beat up, but I dig 'em.
And it's time to get SOMETHING besides ikea in my house...
