40s Streamline for Sale in Park Hill

Posted by David Petzinger at June 25. 2005

We are selling our circa 1948 Park Hill Streamline Modern home. Located on the NW corner of 19th Avenue and Grape Streets, the house is a four bedroom - three bath (one full, two 3/4), with 2300 sq ft and an additional 1346 sq ft basement.

We've done a lot of painting on the main floor, adding a lot of color to the formerly all-white palette. Many new period-appropriate fixtures were added, including an Ulla Darni chandelier in the dining room (surf to www.pismoglass.com, then click on Multiples, then Ulla Darni to see her work). We remodeled an upstairs family room for use as a media room, adding a Shimmerscreen bead curtain to hide the electronics.

The exterior is light brown brick, and comes with ingeniously planted gardens (we cannot take credit) that bloom in stages throughout the spring and summer.

We just went on the market about a week ago through Distinctive Properties (Mark Nelson / DeWayne Harris) at $710,000. If anyone has any interest, I have a zip file with quite a few interior and exterior shots, and a pdf of the Distinctive brochure. Both are too large to post here.

I can be reached off-forum at dave@davepetzinger.com.
