Well... After months (years) or searching for our dream home in northern CO (and being pretty sure that it would be mod), we're in escrow on a rather unlikely (but wonderful) version of our dream. It is a 1967 split-level ranch on 1 1/2 acres near the foothills. We love the land, we love the layout, it is in great shape, but it needs some aesthetic tweaking. I want a sort of rustic modernism -- oxymoron?

Here's a pic... help?

By the way, we're planning to retrofit it for a geothermal heat pump sometime in the next couple of years!

You might try posting this in the Dwell Labs section of the forum... I expect that you would get a better response.
