Modern architecture in East Falls and Chestnut Hill

There was a posting here a while back about an enclave of modern architecture homes in East Falls -- on Timber Lane and Apologen.
Everyone in East Falls knows these two streets: they're chock-full of interesting architecture. The local firm of Montgomery and Bishop designed a number of the homes on both streets, including one for Montgomery himself. (Bishop, by the way, spent time in Taliesen with Wright, and the influence shows).
The firm not only designed homes on these two streets, but in Chestnut Hill, too. They don't often come up for sale, but if they do, would probably go through one of the local realtors like Elfant Wissahickon.
Take a drive down either street -- especially in the winter now, the view into some of the homes (that's hidden in the summer) is striking. What great locations within city limits!

Yeah - here is a link to the other thread:

If you know locations of more of these great houses then by all means do a drive by and get some snap shots to post.
The Carner house was built in 1952 on the corner of Houghton and Hermit Streets in the Roxborough area of Philadelphia. It was designed by the late architect Frank Weise. Weise studied at Harvard with Walter Gropius.
The pics are from the original owners taken shortly after it was built. Those little trees are now over 60' tall
Just saw an ad in today's Inquirer that one of the houses on Timber Lane is for sale. There's a virtual tour of it on the realtor.com web site. According to the blurb, it was designed by Robert Bishop -- former apprentice of Wright. Looks very cool. Wish there were more of them like this in Philadelphia!
The last time I drove down Apologen and Timber it was winter time -- it looks COMPLETELY different in the summer. Very wooded and private.

I just looked it up. Try this.
On realtor.com, you can get to it by the link http://www.realtor.com/Prop/1059434079
Then you click on the little red house rotating that says featured tour or something like that. It takes you right into the virtual tour.
