Well, you're a site for sore eyes

Name's Mark. I live in Chester County. My wife and I are looking to ditch this cookie-cutter go modernist on some acreage in Chester, Lancaster, or Berks. Hey are there any modernist homes around us? I've only seen one or two around here my whole life.

Welcome Mark! There are modernist homes all around the Delaware Valley, but they tend to be in clusters of developments from the 50s and 60s. For instance I know there is a fairly high concentration of nice modernist homes in Gladwyne. There are also plenty of the random custom modern house sprinkled around in older neighborhoods.

We are trying to catalog modern neighborhood locations in another thread, so please pitch in if you discover any. I hope we can collect a good guide book for where to find existing modernist neighborhoods, so when people come here looking they will have a resource. It can help build awareness of these modern houses, direct enthusiasts to them, and increases their value, and the likelihood that they will be preserved/restored. So if you go on a house search, then keep us informed here - I'll help you with posting maps etc.

But if you decide to build I would love to work with you.
