I've often looked at this MCM house when driving on Royal and noticed a brand-new For Sale sign on it this morning. It has a great angled window on the side of the house.

It must need a lot of work because the price is very low for a 2000 SF house in that neighborhood. There are no interior photos posted with the listing, so I don't know if the interior is original or not.

I really hope whoever buys it gets it and doesn't strip it of its character.

I have always thought this was a great house (I live about a mile south of it). I do remember seeing a for rent sign out in front a couple of years back so that may indicate the condition of the inside. For that price, I wouldn't be surprised if it got scraped. There have been four new houses (McMansions) put up in the neighborhood (two on Lathrop not far from this house) and one is being sold for $519k! Then again, Royal is a busy street which may scare some off. If anyone is interested, it is in the Degolyer school district and is also in the Sparkman Club area (you can join a swimming pool club in the neighborhood) -- no, our house is not in the area.
