Getting ready to sell a real MCM gem

I apologize that I am posting a similar message twice...the first time was part of a thread:
I am getting ready to sell my 4000 + sq. ft. architecturally signifcant mid century gem near Preston Royal in the coming weeks. The neighborhood is fabulous in terms of location, however, developers are encroaching upon us and tearing down stately ranch homes and putting up Tuscan Villas in their place. It's just awful and as a result, I fear the same will happen to this house if I am not careful. More details will follow in the coming weeks (photos, etc.) but please keep your eyes and ears open for house hunters in the market for a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, two half baths, guest quarters, greenhouse and artist studio/workspace (attached to the garage). In the meantime, I am looking for a smaller, MCM (3/2.5 'ish') in the $3.5-5 K area. I've been driving around and see NOTHING out there. Thoughts? I'd like to stay in the general area but would consider Northwood Hills also. Love Lakewood but might be too much of a commute on a regular basis. Though for the right home I could be persuaded otherwise! Thanks for your help.
I so hope the developers don't get ahold of your home, it sounds fabulous! I grew up in a MCM home near Forest and Inwood, not too far from you, and still drive by it from time to time wondering if that will happen in my old `hood one of these days. So far there have been no teardowns on that block, thank goodness. I know of a smaller MCM home for sale at 8707 Wingate, located in the Shorecrest area. I don't know if that area works for you, but it's a pretty neat area. I've not been inside the home, but I know the sellers and they have done some work. The home also has a pool and is on a good sized lot, about a 1/2 acre, I believe. Good luck!
You should consider the area just east of white rock lake too. When we lived in Dallas I use to see a number of MCM in the area. There was a house on the PD MCM tour four or five years ago just north of NW Hwy near the lake and I think Cliff Welch's redone MCM was just east of White Rock too. My commute from Swiss/Fitzhugh was not too bad up to Plano.
