I don't know if any of you know this house, but it is in University Manor off NW HWY in a nice pocket of mid-mods. I was really disappointed when I looked at the pictures of this house. All that tile made me very sad.

That house is just down the street from me. I often drove by it, liked the outside and wondered what the inside was like. Now I know. Yikes!
It's nothing $25,000 couldn't fix... and it is not nearly as bad the the MCM in the Disney Streets area on the market last summer that had been given the full hacienda treatment some time in the 80s. This, IMHO, is what happens when well meaning homeowners go to Home Depot and figure that is the only pallet of materials they have to work with. Modern finishes are still not easy to find.
I've shown this house, and yes the word stunning definitely does not refer to good mcm-sensitive material choices. The house does still have some mcm energy, and the setting is great, backing to WR Forest and the Dart line. I assume the original carport is now the living room. I have posted the home on the DallasMod.com site because it still qualifies, though it has been compromised,
