Congratulations on the purchase! I'm looking for an MCM myself.
For tile go to Floor Decor
For floating cabinet check out e-bay under contemporary or modern sinks or bathrooms. They have some really nice - MCM perfect - ones for inexpensive that come direct from factory.
Hardwoods: There used to be a floor salvage/recycle place on inductrial. Try googling it under white pages....
Where are you looking? I was looking on Ebby earlier today and the one on Kiestcrest that was discussed in a previous thread is still available. It is now 152k. I believe it started at 189k. I'm not sure about the area. We live in E. Kessler and love it. There is a fixer upper on Yakimo. It's on a great lot, but I'm not sure that its condition warrants the high price.
We found the hardwoods and had them installed several months ago. We probably got them at the place you are referring to...Architectural Salvage, I think. They look great. They were CHEAP and matched perfect. I think they were about $1.20 a square foot. We had them installed for $1.75 a square foot and refinished for $1.75 a square foot. I think we scored big time.
I'll try Floor Decor. We're just about ready for the bathroom remodel.
I've looked at the cabinets on Ebay and am not in love with any of them. I have a few leads on cabinet builders. I really like the Kerf cabinetry and am hoping to have someone build something similar.
****Does anyone have recommendations for fence builders? We want to go with horizontal slats.****
I can't wait to see more pics. I grew up near you. Close to Forest and the Tollway. Melshire Estates...more of a 60s neighborhood.

Hi Rosy,
Sorry for the many months of no response! Our house is close to Inwood and Forest. It was built in '57. We've been doing a major renovation and it is really torn up right now, but we are about to start putting all the pieces together. We ended up buy our tile at Horizon and have been very happy with them. We bought some of the porcelain I referenced above (not the Ceasar) but in a light color and also some Italian glass for a couple of accent walls in the baths. I would post photos, but we are not to that point yet. Just for fun, here is a shot of our kitchen from Sunday:
Don't know whether you are doing master or guest. Looks like the nice contemporary ones are all gone now...I was looking last year for one. Found a floating maple with drop down face, surface mount egg shape bowl and wall mount faucet...
Depends on what you want but two good resources we use are Waterworks (off knox/henderson and McKinney area) and TKO off Oak Lawn in the decorative center.
