Cunningham design in Little Forest Hills

Posted by Catherine at April 09. 2009

The owner of Wild Birds Unlimited has teamed up with Cunningham Architects to build a resource-efficient modernist home on Eustis in Little Forest Hills.  The builder did everything he could to protect the great trees on the lot (hand-dug trenches, permeable drive, lots of mulch and fencing around the trees during construction) and the house is designed to consume very little energy.  It's on the market through Kim Gromatzky of Ellen Terry for $499k.

I appreciate the effort and the consideration for the environment, but it shouldn't mean the house needs to be an ugly green.
