1950's Modern home just went up for sale

It's one of the few remaining (including mine) original modern houses in my neighborhood.
It doesn't look like the current owners appriciated it for what it was.
I'm terrified it will get torn down and replaced by another McMansion.

If they can get more than $500,000 for it, I doubt it will be torn down -- at $500,000, the McMansion that replaces it would have to go for  $2,000,000 to work in the market and I don't see this area supporting that. Of course, 11 years ago we looked at a house across the street from this one (1400sf if I remember correctly -- with a floor to ceiling glass in the master shower) that was on the market for $185,000 so things have changed quickly in this neighborhood.

I have always thought this was a neat house though -- I hope it goes to a good home.

Yes, I agree, its very safe for the time being!  Nothing like an under-appreciated, but over-valued house,  Its a cool house, but there are nicer ones on the market for much less, in comparable areas.
