contractor in Long Island, NY

Does anyone have any recommendations for good contractors that have done modern residences in Long Island?  I'm having trouble with the modern  part - lots of traditional homes in central long island.  Any thoughts are appreciated!

I would start with architects who have designed modern on LI or nearby and ask who they have used.

You don't say if you are using an architect. I did for our house, interviewing six, and ended up with a list of GC,s who had experience with this style.

You might also consider modern prefab and talk to the possible prefab folks about local contractors who can support this approach.
