Trim and windows for our modern house

Hi,


 


I am in the process of designing a modern home.  We're prettly much done with the floor plan, and working on elevations, and the builder was asking about window trims, and I'm lost. 


 


We are thinking of having no wood trim around doors/hallways, and the builder suggested a "relief area" at the floor (no trim), which sounds cool.  I'm thinking I want to have metal in/out around the window, for 0 maintenance, as well as esthetics, and maybe sheet rock surrounds.


 


Dunno, though.  Any thoughts?
