The Casa de Maraposa (butterfly house) has come to life, finally. We have a slab, utilities stubbed in, walls, and hopefully a roof. We are building with the Transcon Steel steel and foam SIPS-like panels and we are beginning to resemble a giant IGLOO cooler. The contractor from Grayton Beach, Arbor Homes, has really been great to work with so far - rolling with some punches we have been thrown on the panel system - but trudging ahead nontheless. Overall we are please and are looking (hoping) to have the house dried in soon.  I have atached a couple of pictures and such here to share and invite you also to visit the blog at
