Who designed this house?

Posted by Cali T Doagh at April 11. 2007

Hi,

I am trying to find out more information on who may have designed this house (see attached).  It is very similar to a deck house or a Techbuilt, but the roof line is shallower with a rubber roof.  The inside is also similar to the others in the way that it has exposed beams and a wooden deck ceiling.

This style is often referred to as a core contemporary by realtors as the kitchen is located in the center.

Any help much appreciated!

Ooooh boy - it may be very hard to figure out. Great house by the way - it looks like an eichler inspired design. There was a lot of this happening in the years following Joe Eichlers success in California, and the home designs were copied in places all over the country. You might start by finding older architects in the local area - you might find somebody that remembers who designed houses like this back then.
