Looking for a lot/fixer-upper in Emeryville or Berkeley

Posted by Diwa Chintala at April 07. 2006

I am an architect looking for a lot in Emeryville or West Berkeley to build a modern house. Small infill or industrial site or a run down fixer-upper anything will do. Any advice is welcome- I've been looking for a few months and haven't made much progress. Thanks.

I am a designer and small builder also starting to look for land in Oakland, Berkeley and Emeryville. I would be interested in talking to you about your search. I am looking to build an affordable 4-8 unit modern condo project with the smallest units I would be comfortable living in. Small spaces would be offset by shared spaces and a good sense of community. Call me if you're interested in talking.

If you find a lot big enough...

I'm just starting the idea of going modern pre-fab as an alternative to the prohibitively high price of real estate in the Berekeley area.

If you find a bigger lot and would be interested in splitting it, I'd be interested to see what you found. I'd probably do a glide house or something similar in style.
