I currently have carpet in my living room, but I am planning to rip out the carpet and polish/grind the concrete slab beneath. Does anyone know who I can contact to discuss this type of job in Oakland? Thanks.

Based on the date of your post I imagine you have found your answer or moved on, but I am a local designer and currently refinishing a clients concrete floors in a conversion loft project.

I would be happy to discuss them with you. We are using a technique passed along by my father, a TX interior designer, that involves waxing the concrete and can either be done in clear coat or in many tints and shades of brown singly or in combination.
