Pre-fab contractors in the Bay Area

Posted by Justin Brown at August 18. 2006

I am bulding a Michelle Kaufman custom home in San Francisco but haven't found a contractor for the site work.
Can anyone recommend a contractor in the bay area?

Justin,

I understand you had a good meeing with MKD yesterday. Michelle does not have a recommendation yet for a multi-family project general contractor. But that's not to say that one cannot be found.

While the role of the local general contractor is reduced on any MKD project, there is still plenty to do. But nothing that is technical, or needs to be learned. MKD's team takes care of all of the trechnical work (installation of the modules is the main item). All you need to have is a general contractor that is competent at their main roles, primarily the utility work and the foundation.

Out of curiosity, how's your MKD project going? Could you share details and maybe the price/sf these days in the Bay Area?
