Ec--friendly Kitchens

Posted by aline at December 07. 2006

I'm so glad to see that there is a forum for the Baltimore area! My husband and I are looking to do some home renovations. Part of it includes remodeling our kitchen. We are interested in eco-friendly materials but also have a very limited budget. One thing is are definitely interested in are cabinets that use sustainable materials and no formaldhyde, etc...simple clean lines. After a quick search on the Web it seems like all the manufacturers are out on the west coast. Any suggestions as to where we might find something for our kitchen on the east coast and any kitchen designers/contractors who are experienced with eco-friendly materials (i.e Paperstone, etc). Any thoughts are much appreciated!

Hi. We just moved in to a traditional townhome community and are planning to remodel our kitchen. Like you, we would like to use eco-friendly materials. Because we have had difficulty finding suppliers in the area. If we find resources, we'll pass them along.
