help with house fire?

Posted by Michael Landry at July 18. 2005

We recently had a fire in our 1300 sq ft 1948 stucco home, luckily the damage was contained to one side of the house and the roof structure. We'd of course like to turn it into our modern, efficient dream home. We now have a budget of $90k to rebuild..anyone have any ideas if its even possible?

mLandry,

Sorry I'm responding so late, but I just saw this post. I'd love to speak with you about your house reno project. I think you might be able to do something with your budget assuming you really can devote the monies to superficial things (assuming the bones of the house are in relatively good shape after the fire)

I'm guessing by the date, size, and stucco of your home, that it may be a concrete block home with a wooden roof structure. If that is the case you could probably get pretty far with your stated budget. Is it also safe to assume that the $90K budget is just from the insurance settlement?

Feel free to contact me off board if you'd like to chat about the feasibility of your project.
