EcoSteel's program is the undeniable leading force in steel prefab construction. EcoSteel leverages an existing manufacturing network of 13 primary shipping points across the U.S. The pre-engineered and panelized steel systems are easily built by a commercial contractor. All of the steel components of an EcoSteel system are pre-cut, pre-drilled, and are clearly labeled which virtually eliminates mistakes and confusion typically associated with wood homebuilders venturing into steel construction.
EcoSteel is teaming up with Greg La Vardera of LaMiDesign to modern home designs, all built with steel. Pricing starts at $135/sf, complete.

EcoSteel Details
The EcoSteel mission is to protect the Earth's natural resources by providing eco-friendly building systems that increase public awareness of environmental responsibility.
EcoSteel steel building systems provide instant housing and shelter solutions that are designed to easily ship and assemble virtually anywhere. EcoSteel steel building systems begin with an all steel insulated design, utilizing pre-engineered, pre-fabricated, pre-cut, pre-drilled, and pre-marked pieces by the factory. This allows builders to quickly and efficiently assemble the building system onsite. First-time kit builders can assemble the EcoSteel building package with readily available equipment and tools. Simply bolt the pre-fabricated frame to a slab foundation, screw on the pre-finished root and wall sheets, and attach doors, windows and trim. An EcoSteel steel building system will insure decades of maintenance free, energy efficient comfort and safety.
The EcoSteel steel building system is comparably priced to traditional wood construction, with many added benefits including:
- Fast to build, energy efficient construction technology
- Eco-friendly recyclable, renewable building materials
- No need to cut down trees or use asphalt based shingles/tar paper
- Construction material waste is drastically reduced
- Superior structural strength, maintenance-free exterior panels
- Virtually eliminates toxic mold, termites and fire hazards
Steel possesses the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any building material being utilized today. It remains one of the strongest, most durable and economically manufactured materials. No wonder 80% of all commercial buildings are constructed with steel as the primary structure. Stronger, straighter, non-combustible, longer lasting and many other characteristics contribute to the undeniable superiority of steel as a building material. With the dramatic current price advantage, there's no choice in residential construction...but steel!
