The Huffington Post gets out its crystal ball in order to give readers a glimpse of what's in store for the architecture of the future. Wild shapes, innovative materials, super "green" technologies all converge in some of the wildest designs you've seen. While I'm all for pushing the envelope and creativity...I have to say that some of these "future" designs just look stupid. For instance: If I had the choice between NEXT Architects' salt water...

While I'm all for pushing the envelope and creativity...I have to say that some of these "future" designs just look stupid. For instance: If I had the choice between NEXT Architects' salt water taffy bridge designed to span the Dragon King Harbour River in China or Frank Lloyd Wright's elegant (and unbuilt) Butterfly Bay Bridge design meant for San Fransisco, CA, I would choose Wright's innovative AND beautiful bridge everytime. Just because you can do something wacky doesn't necessarily mean you should. See all the future projects here.
