Reception Celebrating Taliesin’s 100th Anniversary

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, in partnership with Taliesin Preservation, Inc., is co-hosting a reception on April 28, 2011 at the Milwaukee Art Museum as part of the centennial celebration of Taliesin. The reception will feature a keynote address by Robert Campbell, a Pulitzer Prize winning architecture critic from The Boston Globe. More details after the jump... This year marks the 100th anniversary of Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright’s home and studio in Spring Green, Wis. Taliesin, a National Historic Landmark, embodies Wright’s architectural philosophy and his vision of design inspired by nature. The Milwaukee Art Museum is also hosting a commemorative exhibit, “Frank Lloyd Wright: Organic Architecture for the 21st Century,” from Feb. 12 through May 15, 2011. The exhibit explores seven decades of Wright’s work through his lifetime and the legacy of his innovative design.  
 
WHAT: Reception celebrating Taliesin’s 100th anniversary, co-hosted by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and Taliesin Preservation, Inc, where guests will have the opportunity to visit the Milwaukee Art Museum, see the Wright exhibit and hear from Robert Campbell.
 
WHO: Robert Campbell, a leading voice in the field of architecture and critic for The Boston Globe, is delivering the keynote address.
