Shots of Modern is a photographic scavenger hunt aimed at broadening one's vision of the University of Chicago campus as a whole and focusing observation on some of its unique details.

Begin at the Robie House, Frank Lloyd Wright’s icon of modernism, where you will pick up a map and a set of clues. Spend an hour photographing some of the university’s most distinctive spaces–then return to the Robie House to view the photos, enjoy some refreshments, and open a dialogue about the influence of the Robie House on modern architecture. Start at Robie House located at 5757 S. Woodlawn Ave., Chicago. Admission is free, but reservations are required. E-mail learn@GoWright.org or call 708.725.3829.

Bring your own digital camera; a limited number of cameras are available for lending. More details here.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
