In Buddhism, the lotus symbolizes purity of the body and mind due to its ability to rise above muddy waters and bloom. Himapan lotus-leaf painting classes has made it possible to bring the beauty of the lotus into homes across the world, and for the first time the Bangkok-based workshop is offering courses in the United States at their Williamsburg art studio in The Brooklyn Art Library.
