Designed by Christopher Polly Architect, a cozy little home resides in Newtown, Sydney, Australia. The dwelling consists of a single storey attached with somewhat detached residences. An extension of the low roof level was added along the eastern edge of the rear under a long wall spine. This was to accommodate a kitchen, storage, and varying configurations of joinery to extend outside for a second toilet with a basin. A collection of open rooms from a narrow hallway give way to a living room followed by a downward change in level that leads to a heightened dining room, kitchen and living space. Rooms are separated with steel doors and sliding doors allowing an ease of exposure from room to room.
