Here's another interesting chapter in the San Rafael Patch's ongoing story of how the Marin County Civic Center came to be built. Apparently, Frank Lloyd Wright had several people who were not fans of his life, ideas and work. Carol E. Metzner the deeply conservative Republican from Madison, Wisconsin, was one such detractor. He labeled Wright a "communist" and sought to do everything possible to obstruct the Marin commission from happening. Read more about this...
