In March of 2011, a mining team in Canada made an unexpected discovery. Heavy equipment operator Shawn Funk, specifically, was carving through the Earth in Millennium Mine when his excavator contacted something hard. As it turns out, what looked like walnut brown rocks was actually the fossilized remains of a dinosaur that is 110-million-years-old.
