The house is located on a narrow plot in Mérida, Mexico, occupying a "residue" urban space that required a smart solution for daylighting and ventilation. Passive sustainable features are an integral part of the design. The architects treated the service area on the west side as a barrier that separates the house from the northern boundary, leaving a 2-feet "air chimney" that facilitates natural ventilation.
