Fabrics & Linens: Foreclosure Quilts by Kathryn Clark
Average Rating: ( 0 votes)
Traditionally, quilting is a craft born of hardship, when people made warm covers out of whatever scraps they could find. But artist and former urban planner Kathryn Clark takes this association one step further with her series of evocative quilts, which are based on maps of home foreclosures. They dramatically illustrate the devastating affect of the financial crisis, which has literally left holes in the fabric of society.
