Albert Adelman was just 32 years old when he drove to Spring Green to ask Frank Lloyd Wright to design an affordable home for his young family. The story of how Wright came to design the Adelman house is as unique and fascinating as the house itself. You can hear all about the experience while touring this amazing 4,200 square foot Usonian style house of buff-colored concrete block, cypress and glass.

In 2005 the house was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and in 2006 the Adelmans received The Wright Spirit Award, the highest recognition give by the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy, for their extraordinary stewardship in meticulously maintaining and preserving the home virtually unaltered since its construction in 1948.
