I have a thing about modernist stools; they seem to propagate in my house (I have a collection of Arne Jacobsen Dot Stools bought on eBay), and I'm always on the lookout for new variations on the theme. I'm currently coveting this simple stool designed by  Mikiya Kobayashi —still just a prototype; we hope it goes into production soon. Above: The stool features stainless steel legs. Above: A chipboard seat spun into a lozenge-shaped disc. Above: The materials are nothing fancy, but the result is pleasingly sculptural. On the hunt for the perfect stools for you?
