This event will take place on Saturday, May 28th at 7:00 p.m. in Wright’s historic Hillside Theater on the Taliesin Estate, located on State Hwy. 23, south of Spring Green, Wisconsin. More after the jump...

Mr. Henning’s original presentation, “Postcards of Taliesin (and other Frank Lloyd Wright Buildings),” will provide a revealing and visually unique survey of Wright’s built work using a multitude of evocative and rare vintage postcard images.

Following the talk, Mr. Henning will sign copies of his most recent book, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin: Illustrated by Vintage Postcards (University of Wisconsin Press, 2011), which is a collection of rare vintage postcard images (some never before published) presented with informative narrative by the author and relevant quotations by Wright. Books will be available for purchase at the event and are also available through the Taliesin Bookstore located in the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center or online at www.taliesinpreservation.org.

Mr. Henning is the author of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin: Illustrated by Vintage Postcards (University of Wisconsin Press, 2011) and At Taliesin: Newspaper Columns by Frank Lloyd Wright & the Taliesin Fellowship, 1934-1937 (Southern Illinois University Press, 1992). His third book, The Architecture of Alfred Browning Parker: Miami’s Maverick Modernist, will be published by the University Press of Florida in the fall of 2011. He has also written numerous articles and given many lectures on Frank Lloyd Wright.
