Despite Hawaii success, American wave energy lags behind rest of the world

Thanks to a Navy test site, America’s first wave-produced electricity has been fed into Hawaii's power grid. A floating platform in Kaneohe Bay on Oahu is tethered to the seafloor with cables that move under force from the ocean’s natural motion.
