Regional planners recently unveiled their vision yesterday for Chicago and surrounding areas. Titled Go To 2040, the plan echoes Daniel Burnham's famous ideas for the city and was based on years of research, input from the public. It places an emphasis on fixing road infrastructure, raising gas taxes for funding and developing more compact, walkable communities rather than car-centric sprawl.
