Phil Bernstein writes a touching editorial for The Charlotte Observer in which he reflects on losing his parents and his childhood home, The Mark and Louis Bernstein House, designed in 1970 by his Taliesin-trained uncle, Lawrence Allen Bernstein. The house was torn down this month after attempts to sell it failed.
