Wilfredo Rodriguez Ramos On Cuba's Deco Architecture

Kathleen Skolnik wanted to let PrairieMod readers know about two programs that the Chicago Art Deco Society (CADS) is sponsoring. CADS has invited architect Wilfredo Rodriguez Ramos of Camaguey, Cuba to visit Chicago to meet with architects, preservationists, and educators. CADS initiated this visit some time ago, and it's now become especially timely with the news that the relationship between the U.S. and Cuba may be normalizing. More after the jump... CADS has invited architect Wilfredo Rodriguez Ramos of Camaguey, Cuba to visit Chicago to meet with architects, preservationists, and educators. During his time here, Wilfredo will be giving two lectures. On Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 6 PM he will be speaking at Cliff Dwellers about the history, culture, and architecture of Camaguey. Light refreshments will be served and there will be a cash bar. This program is free and open to the public, but registration is necessary. Wilfredo will be speaking again on Saturday, March 7 at 11 AM at Roosevelt University. This lecture will focus on the Art Deco architecture of Camaguey. The cost is $15 for CADS members and $20 for non-members. To register, use the form on the flyers shown below or register online at the CADS website.
