In a project paying homage to Danish design, Norse Projects has curated a 3 way collaborative project with Vault by Vans, Kvadrat and Poul Kjærholm entitled “stoflighed”. The Danish word stoflighed describes a mixture of materiality and texture, a key element in Danish architectural and design tradition.
Contemporary textile producer Kvadrat supplied the Tundra and Tonica fabrics for the project. These textiles were then applied to two iconic skateboard shoe models from Vans – Era and Chukka. Both models are available in three distinct colorways, and express rich tones and textural qualities.
The fabrics were equally applied to two classic pieces of furniture, the PK80 daybed and PK91 folding stool from Danish archtect Poul Kjærholm, who is revered for his minimal yet functionally oriented designs. The installation will accompany releases worldwide.

If you happen to be in Paris, the official pre-launch is during Paris Design Week at Colette, Monday September 9th, 4 – 6pm. In store & global online launch September 28 at Norse Projects, Copenhagen.
