We came across this very interesting project called ‘Case’ - a house in the suburbs of the Japanese city of Sapporo - designed by Jun Igarashi Architects. True to the Japanese minimalist style, the design for this house plays up on a 'twisted' theme throughout the spaces. The building elements curves and curls to serve different functions and adds some visual interest in an otherwise muted and clean-cut interiors. On top of that, the architects devised a plan which takes advantage of the limited floor space but high ceiling to add a mezzanine floor, while keeping the rest of the house bright and airy.
